Cows are valuable to the community and lifestyle - they provide so much for. Join Geena and Kapil as they walk through their local cow farm to help understand how we can protect cows, and why we should treat them as the family! Both Geena and Kapil are regular volunteers at New Gokul Farm, Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford, England, where this talk was filmed.
Geena is a primary school teacher and has been involved in education for 10+ years. As well as teaching young minds, she has actively been part of a youth organisation: Pandava Sena, which has enabled her to cultivate her many interests, one being Cow Protection.
Kapil is a General Practitioner with a personal interest in Lifestyle Medicine. He has spent over 12 years studying including a further degree in Sports & Exercise Science, and hopes to create meaningful change in his patients' diet and physical activity levels. Kapil was inspired by his late grandfather, who helped develop and support over 100 cow shelters in India.
Having visited many farms across the world, Kapil and Geena now help to host workshops and retreats to share the importance of Cow Protection with others, and hope to bring about awareness of why cows are worth saving. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx
