When the pandemic ravaged the resort mountain town of Whistler, BC, the entire community stepped in and discovered how the power of “social prescription” held the key to the health of the entire community.

Dr. Karin Kausky has performed full service family practice in Whistler BC since 1993. She is passionate about the value of a thriving primary care system and the concept of intimately linking primary care to community. She graduated with an MD from the University of Toronto and completed her Family Practice residency at the University of Western Ontario, obtaining certification from the Canadian College of Family Physicians and a diploma in sports medicine from the Canadian Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine. Dr. Kausky was also the Chief Medical Officer for Women’s Alpine Events at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Currently Dr. Kausky is co-chair of the Sea to Sky Division of Family Practice.
