Ever wanted to talk to a successful composer and pianist? Never had the opportunity? The moderator Monika Kapráliková will make your wish come true. She will coax out from Ľubica Čekovská details from her childhood, about her family, about music and about success in the extraordinary profession of a composer. All topped-up with some musical treats. Ľubica Čekovská je skladateľka a klaviristka. Po ukončení bratislavskej VŠMU študovala kompozíciu na Royal Academy of Music v Londýne a absolvovala kompozičné kurzy u viacerých svetoznámych skladateľov. Komponuje opernú, symfonickú, filmovú a príležitostne aj popovú hudbu. Ako skladateľka sa profesionálne pohybuje vo sfére, ktorá je ešte stále skôr dominantou mužov. Svojou tvorbou si vydobyla uznanie doma aj v zahraničí.
Ľubica Čekovská is a composer and pianist. After graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava she continued her education at the Royal Academy of Music in London and trained in composition with world-renowned composers. She focuses on opera, symphonic and film music, and occasionally pop music. As a female composer in a still male-dominated field, she has gained recognition by her creative work at home and internationally.
