Karuna Kochar chose to adopt a girl in 2015. All of 4 months when she came, her daughter Nayraa today is 7 years old. Karuna embarked on this journey without much help and guidance. She dedicates this video to all people who wish to be parents and encourages them to write down "Adoption" as an option among other things they try. She's here to share her heart and address the things no one else will talk about. This video is light to the dark corners of doubt within your mind, it helps you see and understand a very different side of Adoption. She belongs to a family that have struggled to make ends meet and thus she learnt the importance of working hard at a very young age. She started earning when she was in 8th grade. She is known to have taken the path less chosen always - the first girl to get a formal job in the family, the first to marry the man of her choice and the first to adopt a child. People have rarely understood why she does what she does but that doesn’t stop her from following her heart.
In 2015 Karuna adopted a beautiful girl child through CARA. The process in those days was manual but she welcomed every challenge in the way to bring her daughter into her world. Her article on adoption was published by CARA and also won and award for the most viewed article in momspresso. Karuna has also councelled many parents who are looking at adoption as an option to have kids.
